I am so glad that the report was able to give you that kind of experience. It's exactly what I was hoping for! When I got home that night, it was the first and only thing I did. I opened up a document and just typed...no thinking, just everything I could recall and all of my feelings. I really do mean it when I say that I wish that you (and everybody here) could have the pleasure of meeting him at least once. The interview did a good job of capturing his essence, but there is so much more in person...there's no way I could ever describe it. I've met one or two other semi-celebrities (like a woman from Survivor; two singers from Alaska; etc), and they were all nice...but nobody ever came close to David. It was literally like I was talking to a very, very long-lost buddy, or a friend of a friend. He treated me with that much compassion and kindness. Also, thanks again for your kind words...they are what gave me courage to walk up to him! I knew that I was doing something greater than myself, and that's what gave me the power and the strength to approach him and Sara (the director). And yes...the hug was absolutely the best part of the entire evening. And it wasn't so much the hug itself (although it was fabulous)...it was the fact that he felt it appropriate to do so, and that he is the one who decided to hug me. I gave no indication of wanting to hug him; I didn't ask, I didn't go to hug him myself. I just simply stuck my hand out for a handshake...and BOOM! There I am, my face suddenly right next to his head, and he's hugging me. I was in shock, and I was amazed. He truly is a lovely guy. :)

Hi Ms. M (dcc_fan) your interview with David was AWSOME. He is so incredibly down to earth and humble, that is so nice to see these days. I'm so glad your evening was "MAGICAL". To be able to end the evening with a big hug from David would leave any of us completely in Awww. I loved reading you detailed observance of the play and your perfect description of your anticipated meeting with David afterward. I swear it was like I was there. You are so INCREDIBLY GRACIOUS for expending all your energies to be able to let us see sides of David that we would never get to see on the GW site. I'm glad that we have become friends here. Thank so much Ms. M, you are and ANGEL.

Lol, yes, I was very nervous! Now I don't know what to do with my time anymore, because I don't have to endlessly prepare!! :-P
