David has 2 Pittsburgh Symphony Events coming up on May 6 and May 8th. I am flying out from Los Angeles for the May 6th event. I'm excited to visit Pittsburgh for the 2nd time. Love the city and will be sightseeing new things.

Fantastic news, Cari. I am both jealous of and delighted for you. I look forward to hearing all about it. Have a wonderful time. Hopefully you'll get to see some of his favorite Pittsburgh places.

Thanks Cari, that sounds like even more fun. I would kill to see him in person- not just randomly, of course. Hope I can get to the US someday and meet some of the great people on this site. I do know if I go I will be visitng Pittsburgh- David and many of you, make it a place I really want to see. Thanks for all the updates too- it's awful not having David on our screens regularly.

I'm part of an Audience of the Future program here in Pittsburgh and we go down and see a lot of rehearsals at Heinz Hall, once a month from November-May. Today we got to watch the Peter and the Wolf rehearsal, and I went having no idea at all that it was going to be him speaking. When I saw him I was utterly too surprised. I asked my teacher who is play for the Alice portion of the concert if it was him, and she said it was. We got to say hi as we walked past. A great experience in my life, needless to say. I'm excited to hopefully talk to some of the symphony members who I know soon about what it was like working with him. He does an excellent presentation of the piece.
