David Conrad: The Blue-Eyed Wonder of Pittsburgh

Burn This question list

Posted by Ms. M on June 8, 2009 at 10:15 PM

Hi everyone! I wanted to share some exciting news with all of you. Nothing is set in stone yet, but there is a possibility that I will be able to meet with David after the show on the night that I attend (which is currently to be decided). I was hoping to do this so that all of you who couldn't go could at least feel partially as if you were there...think of me as your ambassador, of sorts.

That being said, I'm opening the floor for any questions you might have for David. Please steer clear of anything extremely personal (aka please don't act like paparazzi) and of any complaints (I'm currently thinking of the big Ghost Whisperer Issue...you know what I'm talking about). We want him to know how much we support him and enjoy his work, not how much some of us disagree with scripts and such. If you have a question, just leave it as a comment on this post, and I will keep a running list of them so that I can try and get as many answered as possible. :)

Looking forward to receiving your questions,

Ms. M

How exciting, Michelle! Wow! Lucky you!
I'd love to know if there's a theater role David hopes to perform, but hasn't yet...and if and when he'll do live theater in NYC again, so I can enjoy one of his performances in person :-)

Lucky you. Well I feel that you are an ambassador for me since I'm in Denmark in Europe which is pretty far from Pittsburgh. ;) And I will probably never meet him either.

I would like to know what job he would have if he wasn't an actor. And if there is a movie genre he would love to play.

Lucky You,

I'd like you to tell him that he has lots of fans in Australia and that we'd be honoured if he'd come and visit us one day.
I think it's wonderful the kind of personal work he undertakes. ie. producing documentaries about his hometown, be it his old teacher to coming back to do plays. Alot of people when they find success forget about where they came from. David should be commended for remembering his roots. He sounds like a lovely genuine guy.
thanks Jules

How old was Mr. Conrad when he decided that he wanted to become an actor? Has he read Mary Ann Winkowski's book When Ghosts Speak? How spiritual is he? What does he believe happens after death?

Hi Ms M, Great to hear that you will be able to meet David. Wish I could too but I'm really far, far away. I think he's a great actor and that he's capable of much more than what they made him do in the first 3 seasons of Ghost Whisperer. I think Season 4 showed us more of the actor he is. And to be able to do plays as well, wow! he must be really talented! Please tell him that he has a big fan in Malaysia! That's where I'm from and I watched Ghost Whisperer oveseas while on holiday and became a fan of his! Now I've watched all the episodes online since they don't air GW here. Tell him I wished him all the best and hope he continues with his charity work which is really applaudable. I wanted to know if he's going to be in any movies coming up. And is there any way of contacting him to get a personally autograhed photo or an email to write to? Would he reply to letters or emails from a fan? Thanks, hope to hear from you and him soon.

Suneeta, if you swing by our "contact us" page, I have multiple addresses available for use to contact David. I would personally recommend using the one to the Universal Studios lot...it is the one that I received my reply from. (And yes, he has been known to respond to letters...I'm proof of that; have a nice personally signed photo...with even a personally addressed envelope [in his own handwriting] :) ) Glad to see you stop by the site...we're always looking for new members!

Heard you love to write, can we expect a book written by David Conrad in the future? Such as poetry, stories, lessons learned, inspirations. And will you be in another Shakespeare play?

Also: Cari saw the pics from the walk n dine event...and she noticed you used a beer can for your toothbrush holder.

Cari was also at the LA signing and you signed "Hi Cari" in her book, but she wishes you signed your name, will u do the honor of signing your name on this ______________?

This isn't a question, but I think it's so cool that David has so many fans outside the US ? what a testament to his talent :-)

Hi Ms M, thanks for your reply. Just saw the contact page, will write to him. Is he scheduled to be back filming for the next season of GW? Never thought I'd be so into an actor, but by the time I had watched 2 episodes of GW, I was watching it more for him than for its contents otherwise. It was interesting to know that he likes theatre and prefers that to Hollywood movies n tv. Theatre gives a sense of reality to acting.

When I got home, I looked him up on Internet and got your website. He sure sounds like a blu-eyed wonder! And his gesture of donating his art collection was really sweet. His way of paying back. Its really great that he hasnt forgotten where he first started. That says a great deal about the person he may really be. It would be great to know him in person. Tell him I said so. You guys from Pittsburgh are a lucky lot!

Thanks Ms M, this is a cool site with lots of info. And you know, his personal life does seem very low profile. Ahem!!! I'd take a trip to America to meet him if I could.

My question is pretty much the same as "thuber's".
Will he be appearing in more role's after he is finished with Ghost Whisperer? (Which I wish wouldn't happen.)
And does he have any other major plans for the future?

P.S. The people that have met David are extremely lucky..
Thanks, from Canada.

Michelle, could you tell him I'm his biggest fan, and that I think he is the best thing ever on Ghost Whisperer. I wish I could meet him.. And that he has the most beautiful smile ever.

Boxers or briefs? On second thought, I'd rather ask him about his childhood. Did he act in any school plays when he was in elementary school? Did his parents take him to see the Nutcracker (or anything) when he was a boy? Was he even interested in theater then? Did he play any sports as a child? Did he have lots of friends or was he a loner?

Hi Ms M,

When will you be going to see David? It's great to know that he'd reply to letters from fans. He must be treating fans really nice. I'd like to know when he's going back so I can write to him. Where does he live in Pittsburgh? Is he a regular kind of guy who does his gardening, walks his dog, shops for groceries, does his own cooking etc? You know...no pretenses kind. Tell us all about the play, his acting and meeting him when you come back.

Hi Ms Ms,

I'd like to know about David's sense of humour. Is he funny? What makes him laugh? What about his lighter side? What makes him happy? What makes him contented?
